1)	Meeting of the Executive Committee announce:	14-07-2011
	1.             Election schedule, and
	2.             Appointment of the Election Commission
	i.        The commission shall consist of 3 members.
	ii.        They are to submit their consent in writing:
	iii.   They have not held any office in the association for preceding two years;
	iv.   They shall not be entitled to become candidate in the election they are conducting.
2)	Display of election schedule within 2 days of approval of the Executive Committee:	16-07-2011
	a)     Display election schedule at the notice boards of Head Office and regional office;
	b)     Display Election Schedule at the Website; and
	c)     Submit to the Director General, Trade Organizations.
3)	The member Companies may intimate the change (if any) of their representative(s) to the Secretary General within 3 days of the announcement of Election Schedule.	19-07-2011
4)	Display election schedule within 7 days, the provisional list of all members eligible to vote along with their NTN, Sales Tax Numbers, the name and NIC number of the representative.  The list shall be displayed at;	25-07-2011
	the notice boards of Head Office and regional offices; and
	the Website of the Association.
5)	Objection (if any) by members to the entries in the list of voters shall send to the Secretary General in writing within 7 days of the release of Voters List.	1/8/2011
6)	Action and intimation by Secretary General on the objections within 5 days from the receipt of such objection.	5/8/2011
7)	Any person aggrieved by the decision of the Secretary General shall make representation within 3 days to the election commission.	8/8/2011
8)	Decision of election commission within 3 days on the cases referred to them.	11/8/2011
9)	Any person aggrieved by decision or failure of the Election Commission to decide may appeal to the Director General within 3 days.	15-08-2011
10)	Decision of Director General on such cases within 10 days.	25-08-2011
11	Display of final list of voters within 2 days of the decision of Director General.	27-08-2011
	a) the notice boards of Head Office and regional offices;
	b) the Website and
	c) Submit to the Director General.
12)	Submission of nomination papers (duly proposed by the registered voter and signed) to the Secretary General within 4 days of display of final list of voters.	31-08-2011
13)	Within 24 hours (one day) of receipt of nomination papers, a copy of the final list of voters shall be provided to each contesting candidate.	1/9/2011
14)	Display of the list of contesting candidates within 1 day (twenty four hours) from the last date of receipt of nomination papers.	2/9/2011
15)	The objections on the list of contesting candidates shall be filed with the Election Commission within 24 hours (one day of issuance of the list of contesting candidates.	3/9/2011
16)	Decision of the Election Commission on such cases within 2 days.	5/9/2011
17)	Filing of appeal with the Director  General within 2 days by the persons who are aggrieved by the decision of election commission or if it fails to decide such cases within the stipulated time.	7/9/2011
18)	Notice of Annual General Meeting of the Trade Organization	8/9/2011
19)	Decision of the Director General within 7 days from the date of filing of appeal on such cases.	15-09-2011
20)	Within 2 days of the decision of the Director General the Election Commission shall issue the final list of contesting candidates.	17-09-2011
21)	If such case is not referred to the Election Commission or to the Director General, the final list of contesting candidates shall be issued within 11 days of approval of the Election Commission.	19-09-2011
22)	Polling for election of members of the Executive Committee within 5 days from the date of issuance of final list of contesting candidates.	20-09-2011
23)	Submission of nomination papers within 2 days from the date of polling by the members of the Executive Committee for election of Office Bearers (i.e., Chairman and Vice Chairman).	22-09-2011
24)	Scrutiny of nomination papers by the Election Commission and display of the list within 24 hours (1 day) of submission of nomination papers.	23-09-2011
25)	Polling for election of office bearers within 2 days from the date of issuance of final list of contesting candidates.	26-09-2011
26)	Annual General Meeting for;	30-09-2011
	a)  announcement of election results;
	b)   approval of audited accounts;
	c)   appointment of auditors;
	d)   approval of plan of activities for the next year.
27)	Display of final results within 2 days at:	1/10/2011
	a)   notice board of the Head Office and Regional Offices;
	b)  Website of the Association.

 

NOTE:           n case of Govt. holiday falling on any day of this election schedule the activity for that day shall take place on the next working day.
